Selected brings together some of the best work from early career film and video artists from the UK in a vibrant programme of recent artists’ moving image. Selected is produced by videoclub and Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network.

The Selected programme has run annually since 2011 in association with the Film London Jarman Award.

Each year, the six artists shortlisted for the Film London Jarman Award are asked to nominate work by up-and-coming filmmaking talent, to develop an invigorating new programme that tours the UK. Screenings take place at some of the UK’s leading venues for showcasing artists’ film and video and are followed by an in conversation with the featured artists.

Screenings of Selected programmes have taken place at venues including Fabrica (Brighton), Vivid Projects (Birmingham), Spike Island (Bristol), Nottingham Contemporary, CCA Glasgow and Whitechapel Gallery (London).
