We are extremely excited to be unveiling our brand new Film London showreel!
The 2021 reel celebrates London's diverse and authentic stories and talent, iconic locations and world-class infrastructure, rich film culture and heritage, instrumental industry events and practical, sustainable innovations in Film, TV, Games, Animation and beyond. From a loveable, animated bear to thought-provoking artists' moving image and the world's most famous secret agent, we help connect ideas to talent and finance to create world-class content.
Catch a glimpse of recent award-winning TV such as Small Axe and I May Destroy You, filming on the streets of West London, Hackney and Shoreditch as well as blockbuster films Tenet and Cruella on location at Greenwich, Hampstead and Bermondsey and the Jurassic World franchise at Pinewood Studios. Cutting-edge VFX, animation and games also take centre stage as well as fantastic work from London talent including Film London Lodestars Josh Robertson, Nosa Eke and Jasmina Cibic.
The past year has undoubtedly been one of great challenge and hardship, but thanks to the rigorous work of the industry, productions are safely back up and running in the capital's streets and studios, our workforce and talent is being supported and cinemas are welcoming back audiences. Demand for content is now at an all-time high, helping to drive the city's economic and social recovery - an immense achievement to come out of such adversity.
We are excited to continue our work in promoting London as a global content production hub, supporting the development of the city's new and emerging filmmaking talent and film culture. We have just announced the next cohort of artist-filmmakers selected for the fourth edition of the FLAMIN Fellowship, contributed archive film toward Eleven, a short film celebrating the importance of grassroots football in London, launched our new Animation Strategyand participated in the European Audiovisual Observatory Conference for sustainable filmmaking. Make sure to also check our regularly updated What's On page for screenings, events and training opportunities in the capital.
We would like to thank all industry colleagues, funders and sponsors who have continued to support Film London in delivering this world class content, and to all those who have contributed toward the making of the show reel.
