The inaugural FLAMIN Fellowship group were representative of the new generation of artist filmmakers, challenging traditional forms and presentation platforms for moving image, exploiting technological developments and bringing new experiences to audiences. Between them, their work has explored everything from history and movement to science and psychoanalysis.
Since completing the Fellowship, the artists' achievements include award wins at Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, European Media Arts Festival and The Arts Foundation, screenings at the Rotterdam, Berlin and London film festivals, and solo exhibitions at LUX, London; Ps2, Belfast; Jerwood Space, London and National Gallery of Macedonia, Skopje.
Sardegna Film Commission Residency
In 2019, the FLAMIN Fellows completed a 3-week residency in Sardinia, in partnership with the Sardegna Film Commission.
