This March, we're spotlighting new content available on streaming and TV where you can spot London on screen from fresh series on Disney+ and Netflix, to a Powell and Pressburger classic on BBC iPlayer!

Mary & George comes to Sky Atlantic on March 5 and we're excited to see so many London film locations on screen. Starting off with the Charterhouse in the City of London, the Tudor courtyard was used in filming to double as the exterior of London Palace, the London Meat Market, as well as featuring in many interior scenes.

Just down the road in the City, another iconic piece of medieval architecture features in the new series, the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great in Smithfield. What's the actual show about though? The new period drama from Sky Studios tells the fascinating true story of Mary Villiers, played by Julianne Moore, who conspires with her son to climb the ladder of riches, titles and influence in Jacobean London. Through Mary's remorseless scheming, her son George becomes the all-consuming lover of King James I, catapulting them to a whole new level of wealth and power. The lead director for the series is Oliver Hermanus who recently made Living in London starring Bill Nighy. Season 2 of Disney+ hit show Extraordinary is coming this March! From March 6 you can catch all new episodes of the show, featuring London locations. Picking up where the first season left off, the hilarious and original show is created by Emma Moran, a breakout star writer with a playfully unique voice. In the world of Extraordinary, everyone gets their superpowers at 18. Except for 25-year-old Jen, who, played by Máiréad Tyers, begins to learn that it's ok to not have powers like everyone else. Season 2 will see Jen continue her personal journey in search of her special power whilst trying to balance her feelings and love life along the way. Season 1 filmed throughout London at locations such as Liverpool Street Station, The 'Gherkin' in the City of London, Brick Lane, the Whitechapel Gallery and Spitafields Market.

Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen, a TV follow up of his 2019 hit film of the same name is coming to Netflix on March 7. The new show is set in the same world as 2019's The Gentlemen but introduces a new array of characters led by White Lotus star Theo James and Kaya Scodelario. James plays Eddie Horniman who gets thrust into a drug-dealing underworld when he inherits his family estate which secretly lies on a gigantic weed farm.

The flashy new series also features legends of the genre Vinnie Jones and Giancarlo Esposito. The Gentlemen (2019) featured many scenes in the capital, with filming taking place on location in Hackney, Islington, the Princess Victoria pub in Shepard's Bush, the Tate Modern and on stages at Longcross Studios and West London Film Studios.

Renegade Nell is another new show coming to Disney+ from March 29. The new 8-part series filmed in London and comes from BAFTA-award-winning writer Sally Wainwright (Happy Valley) and lead director Ben Taylor (Sex Education). The show tells the tale of Nell Jackson, a brazen young woman in 18th century England who gets framed for murder and is forced to live life on the run. Her spiral into criminality is aided by her two sisters as she becomes the most notorious outlaw in the country. Keep a look out for this exciting criminal odyssey on Disney+!

Up next, Kate Winslet stars in The Regime for HBO. The new political satire series airs in the UK on Sky and Now TV this week. The 6-part series is based on a fascinating premise that sees Chancellor Elena Vernham (Winslet), head of a crumbling authoritarian regime, haul up in her palace as her paranoia and anxiety spirals. Finding solace in an unlikely relationship with a mentally unstable military corporal, Vernham sees her position and nation collapse into turmoil. The Regime filmed scenes in London as well as Austria.

Breaking out of the mould of brand-new content, we've listed one for the film buffs and fans of ballet, classical music and theatre. From legendary British filmmaking duo Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, it's 1948's The Red Shoes of course! The visually spectacular classic is showing on BBC iPlayer throughout March and is a must see. Catch scenes of central London in the 1940s, including sequences filmed outside the iconic Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. The film follows an up-and-coming ballerina, played by Moira Shearer, who must choose between her husband or her dance career; a simple tale that is masterfully sculpted into a poetic clash between the eternal forces of love and art. Finally, if you missed it last year, Ridley Scott's latest epic Napoleon is now streaming on Apple TV+. Starring Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix, Napoleon charts the rise of one of history's most iconic and divisive figures. Vanessa Kirby stars alongside Phoenix as Empress Josephine, turning our attention to Napoleon's explosive marriage as well as his impressive feats on the battlefield. Napoleon filmed in Somerset House and Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, as doubles for revolutionary-era Paris and we have all the exciting inside info you need about the shoot!
