Kaff Mariam and Una de Gato document Lucas' journeys to find the home of two rare plants abroad. Both traded in London's Brixton markets, they are each associated with numerous medicinal, spiritual and superstitous beliefs.

Kaff Mariam can be found in the deserts of the Middle East and is thought to bring new life. Lucas' pilgrimage leads her throughout the Holy Land from Palestine West Bank, into Israel and finally the Sinai desert in Egypt.

Una de Gato takes us deep into the Amazon rainforest, and between the regions of Lima, Pucallapa and Satipo in Peru. The Una de Gato plant is used to treat various illnesses, including cancer and AIDS.
