Three people in the Games industry have been named as Film London Lodestars for 2021 and tipped as future stars of the industry. You can learn more about them below, including messages from the people who nominated them for the award.

After working his way up from a production technician, via many stints as a writer on titles like The Swords of Ditto and Heavenstrike Rivals, Ed made his game director debut in 2020 with Murder by Numbers - a sassy 90s puzzle crime caper that he also co-wrote, lauded for its unique and addictive gameplay loop, adorable characters, and authentic LGBTQ+ representation.

Unger is an Art Director / 2D Game artist born and raised in London. She started her career working on educational games and museum interactives with the BAFTA award winning studio Preloaded. With 9+ years in the industry she's worked on a number of award winning games including the BAFTA nominated Tangle Tower, State of Play’s South of the Circle and the Nintendo Switch launch title, Snipperclips: Cut it Out, Together. In 2020 She was selected to be a part of Games London’s Ensemble and later went on to become BAFTA Breakthrough Brit.
Abubakar Salim (@abzybabzy)
Abubakar Salim is a BAFTA nominated actor who has recently starred in the coveted role of Father in Ridley Scott's 10 part sci-fi drama series Raised By Wolves, which premiered on HBO Max.
Earlier this year, Salim founded a games studio called Silver Rain Games and has recently secured a major deal with EA to make their first original IP. The company was launched with the intent to generate thought-provoking and innovative games and content across different mediums of entertainment.
Salim also launched a production company Silver Rain Productions and serves as an executive producer on a film called The Whale, which recently was accepted into the Rhodes Island Film Festival and co-produced Things I Wish I Told My Father with Letitia Wright.
