Yv Shells is an artist from Walworth, South London, UK. His work explores the importance of the audience in the creation of art.

His moving-image work has been exhibited in the British Library as part of the Beyond the Bassline: 500 Years of Black British Music Exhibition, Yinka Ilori: Parables For Happiness Exhibition at the Design Museum, the Southbank Centre, Notting Hill Arts Club, the V&A museum, and the National Gallery. He took part in the 2024 Snap Lens Lab at the RCA working with augmented reality. Yv facilitates creative workshops in schools across London through S.M.I.L.E.-ing Boys CIC.

Yv is a musician and directs his own music videos which have amassed over 150,000 views on YouTube. As a screenwriter, he has worked in writers’ rooms for BBC and Disney+ shows. Yv holds the undisputed title of number one DJ in South London.
