Film London welcomes Lauren Preteceille to the organisation as the new Head of Communications & Public Affairs.

Reporting to CEO and the Board, Lauren will be responsible for overseeing Film London and the British Film Commission's communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies, alongside partnerships and events. This includes working closely with our screen industry partners to develop the sector’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the plan and communications strategy around its recovery.

Before joining Film London, Lauren worked in public affairs at Transport for London (TfL) for 11 years, most recently as Head of Stakeholder Advocacy and Engagement, developing the organisation’s strategic stakeholder strategy and overseeing relationships with key representative groups such as business, disability organisations, youth & schools engagement and equality groups. Prior to TfL, Lauren worked in media relations for London First.

Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission, said:

“I’m delighted to welcome Lauren Preteceille as our new Head of Communications and Public Affairs. Lauren starts the role in unprecedented times, but with no end of challenges to which she can bring her wealth of experience and insight across Public Affairs, Press and Marketing. I am thrilled to have her on-board as we work to help London and the UK screen industries navigate these unsettling times, and position the sector for the best possible recovery.”

Lauren Preteceille said:

“I am thrilled to be joining Film London. Prior to COVID-19, the capital’s screen industries sector was one of the country’s economic strengths. While we are experiencing unsettling times now, I have full confidence the sector will find creative and resilient ways to return to full strength as soon, and as safely, as possible. I am excited to be part of that, and to be supporting our capital’s screen industries so London can remain one of the greatest places to produce exceptional screen content.”

Lauren replaces Anna Highet, who leaves this month to focus on freelance projects.
