Supacell returns for its second season, with creator Rapman promising a chapter that’s “darker, bigger, and more emotional” than before. Tosin Cole reprises his role as Michael Lasaki, joined once again by Nadine Mills, Calvin Demba, and Eric Kofi-Abrefa. Picking up from the explosive finale of Season One, the new episodes delve deeper into the shadowy organisation at the heart of the story and the true origin of the Supacell powers. Filming across South and East London, from Peckham to Croydon, the series continues to root its high-concept storytelling in the city’s streets, capturing a raw, authentic energy that’s uniquely London.
The Julia Set is the brand-new feature from writer-director Niki Byrne, filmed across London’s academic and architectural landmarks. Chase Infiniti stars as Julia, a gifted mathematician balancing the chaos of university life when she’s unexpectedly drawn into an elite training programme by her enigmatic teaching assistant, Pascal (Chris Briney). Together, they prepare for the world’s most formidable maths competition, the Putnam Exam, but ambition soon gives way to rivalry and obsession. Blending intellect, tension and emotion, The Julia Set transforms London’s lecture halls and libraries into the backdrop of a sharp drama.

As the festive season approaches, London once again takes centre stage in an exciting line-up of new releases - from musical reimagining and action-packed thrillers to returning favourites filmed right across the capital.
A bold and faithful adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel, The Running Man thrusts viewers into a near-future dystopia where the world’s most popular TV show is also its deadliest. Contestants must survive 30 days on the run while being hunted by professional assassins. Desperate to save his sick daughter, Ben Richards takes on the game’s ruthless challenge - only to become an unexpected symbol of rebellion. London provided striking urban backdrops for the production, with filming taking place at Electric Boulevard, Battersea Power Station and Wembley Stadium. Catch Glen Powell in the Running Man, in cinemas from the 7th of November.
Ahead of the festive season, Gurinder Chadha’s Christmas Karma reimagines Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol through a modern, multicultural lens. The film follows Kunal as an ill-tempered immigrant navigating life in London amid a cost-of-living crisis, drawing powerful parallels with Dickens’ original tale of poverty and redemption. Balancing its darker themes with moments of joy, Christmas Karma features an energetic soundtrack blending rap, Bhangra and Christmas carols to deliver a message of compassion and hope. Filmed extensively across Central London, with Regent Street features prominently, evoking the timeless Dickensian spirit in a contemporary setting - in cinemas from the 14th of November!
The magic continues as Wicked: For Good soars into cinemas this month! Filmed just outside the capital, at Sky Studios Elstree this eagerly anticipated sequel expands the beloved story of friendship, love and courage. Behind the scenes, Film London partnered with NBC Universal to create new pathways for young Londoners from underrepresented backgrounds. Through our Equal Access Network, trainees worked across multiple departments on set for Wicked - gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Read more about this partnership here.
