Criminal Record, Apple TV+

Kicking us off this week is the return of crime thriller Criminal Record on Apple TV+, as season two has started filming in London this past month. In the highly acclaimed premier season of the show, we saw two senior detectives played by the brilliant Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo come head to head on a violent and tense murder case. At the heart of season two is a complex and politically fragile new case where the opposing detectives may have to come together once more to uncover the answers.

Season 1 of Criminal Record filmed throughout London in areas such as Wentworth Street, Brick Lane, Rhoda Street, Shoreditch Park and Shacklewell Street in the borough of Tower Hamlets. Look out for more London film locations in the next season of this gripping series!

Next up, Trigger Point has commenced filming on a third season in London. Jed Mercurio's high-octane drama returns with Vicky McClure starring as bomb disposal operative Lana Washington. Six episodes are set for season 3 and see Washington's EXPO squad tackle a string of mysterious bomb threats, linked by a web of personal vendettas.

Previous seasons of the show have filmed throughout London in locations such as the Limehouse Link Tunnel, the canals by Hackney Wick, streets in the heart of the City, Bethnal Green Road, South Kilburn Estate, the famous Spurstowe Arms in Hackney and so many more! Other notable productions currently filming on location and/or in studio include:

Bridgerton season 4 - Duo of Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek) step into the spotlight in a new season of the Netflix regency drama.

Slow Horses season 6 - Hit Apple TV show returns to adapt both “Joe Country” and “Slough House,” the sixth and seventh novels in Mick Herron’s award-winning series of espionage novels.

The Running Man - Edgar Wright teams up with Glen Powell who plays Ben Richards, a game show contestant whose goal is to survive as a newly declared enemy of the state.

Babies - BBC drama exploring the delicate and emotional experience of young couples trying for their first child.

Silo season 3 - Starring Rebecca Ferguson for Apple TV+, in a post-apocalyptic society, humanity endures under dire living conditions in an underground silo.

Untitled Alejandro González Iñárritu film - Tom Cruise stars in a story of the most powerful man on earth who must convince everyone he will defend them against the very same world-ending disaster that he has unleashed.

Finally, we're excited that Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow is now filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden! Starring House of the Dragon's breakout star Milly Alcock, the new film will feature an origin story of the fan-favourite superhero as she travels the universe before arriving on Earth. Jason Mamoa returns to the DC universe to star alongside Alcock, this time portraying the antihero Lobo, instead of the underwater king, Aquaman. We're excited to see what comes of James Gunn's rebooted DC superhero franchise so it's great to hear production kicking off on this major film so close to home!
