Introducing BFI Replay

Latest 9 Nov 2022

News Story

BFI Replay is a free video-on-demand service with thousands of digitised videos and television programmes from the collections of the BFI National Archive and partner UK Regions and Nations Film Archives. Available exclusively at your local library, it will allow you to delve into the recorded past for fun, discovery, nostalgia, or research.

The initial roll-out of BFI Replay begins today (9 November) with libraries in Newham, followed by 12 library services across the UK including Manchester, Cambridge, Swansea, Glasgow, and Belfast. This beta phase will run to the end of the year before a full, UK-wide launch in February 2023.

Among the newly digitised videos you can access on BFI Replay are over 200 videos from the London's Screen Archives collections. Explore videos from the London Community Video Archive, Jewish Museum, London Transport Museum, IET Archives, and selections from London's Borough Archives.

Watch the world as we knew it and the communities who lived it - 60 years of screen stories, digitised and preserved for you.
