On Monday (12 October) we were delighted to bring Danny Boyle's Ink to the 70th BFI London Film Festival as this year's Mayor of London's Gala. A film rooted deeply in London, telling the tale of how The Sun controversially changed Fleet Street forever.

Director Danny Boyle walked the carpet alongside stars of the film Jack O'Connell and Guy Pearce, along with screenwriter and writer of the original play James Graham and other members of the cast.

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan was in attendance, opening his on-stage remarks with "Raise the roof for Adrian Wootton and all the team at Film London.

Ink will be released in UK cinemas on 8 January 2027. The 70th BFI London Film Festival continues throughout this week, culminating in the Closing Gala screening of The Debut this Sunday.
