Georgie Yukiko Donovan

Georgie has directed an award-winning body of work across series, films, and podcasts for outlets such as Netflix, Channel News Asia, and the BBC. Her work explores the intersections of human interest and socio-political issues, tackling complex subjects such as racial identity in Japan, rising anti-feminism in South Korea, hostage negotiations with Boko Haram, and trauma recovery in war veterans.
She is passionate about bridging intersections and re-centering marginalised voices, particularly within the East Asian community. This is focused through her work as Director of Rising Waves, an organization dedicated to amplifying British East and South East Asian (BESEA) voices across the arts and media industries.
In 2023, Georgie was recognised as a promising industry leader by FILM LONDON’s Breaking Glass Ceiling cohort. Most recently, she was selected for Ones to Watch by the TV Foundation and as a 2024 Breakthrough Leader by the TV Collective.

Caylan Samuel

Caylan Samuel is a writer, production assistant and multifaceted creative based in London. Caylan’s early interest in people and their inhibitions, led him into a fascination with how people are represented through visual media. After obtaining a BA in Film and Television Studies and Screenwriting Diploma from the NFTS, Caylan has gone to make his mark on the industry, through the aid of Film London.

Obtaining notable credits on Britain’s Got Talent, The Apprentice & a BFI Short Film, Caylan made the transition to Silent Witness, where he found his true passion of being at the epicentre of the production process, ensuring the smooth operation of the show. On top of this, Caylan has written an original feature play, named Refraction; also co-written a play in a day named It Should Have Been Me, which were both sold out for multiple dates, and continues to write and pitch his own ideas to industry.

Vicki Brown

Vicki Brown is the Senior Sales & Distribution Executive at the BFI. where she oversees the international and UK rollout of all the BFI Filmmaking Fund’s feature films.
She joined the BFI from Together Films where she was Head of Acquisitions, Sales and Distribution, a company that is one of the leaders in social impact entertainment. Prior to that, Vicki was the Director of International Sales at Altitude Film Sales and also previously worked at Focus Features International.

Vicki is also a co-founder of MilkTea Films, an organisation which looks to shine a spotlight on East and Southeast Asian talent with a goal to building inclusion, communities and audiences.
