Join the South London Gallery for their South By South screening of Goodbye Julia. The film opens with the death of First Vice President Dr John Garang de Mabior, who led the Sudanese People’s Liberation Army, and the rage that erupts in the streets of Khartoum, Sudan. Mona and Julia, two women from radically different social positions, are thrown into proximity within this political climate. Visitors are invited to take part in a discussion about the film following the screening, facilitated by Black Cinema Project.
