Presented in collaboration with Hackney History Festival, join the Rio for a very special Q&A screening of Dalston-based documentary Legacy In The Dust: The Four Aces Story, with live on-stage post-screening panel discussion with director Winstan Whitter, and community elders.
The documentary charts the life and death of the legendary 'The Four Aces Club', established 1966 and regarded as London’s equivalent to the New York Apollo. The club was instrumental in introducing new music genres to the UK and played host to some of the most influential international musicians of our time, including Stevie Wonder, The Skatalites, Ben ‘E’King, The Ronettes, Desmond Dekker, Otis Redding and many others.
