Agents are among the most influential figures in the creative industries, often the key to unlocking that next big step in a filmmaker’s path. But before reaching that stage, it’s essential to understand how agents and managers work; what they look for in talent, how they identify potential, and the industry connections that can help elevate your career.

We’ll be hearing directly from agents representing a spectrum of the industry — from major agencies to boutique specialist firms — working across film, television, and commercials.

While this will not be a direct opportunity to seek representation, it offers invaluable insider knowledge on what to expect when working with an agent. You’ll also gain insights on how unrepped writers, directors, and other creatives can best present themselves to attract potential representation.
