Join the ICA for three recent restorations from the D.I.Y generation of American filmmaking whose work explored controversial subjects and countered mainstream representations. The films in the programme include Juliet Bashore’s queer docufiction Kamikaze Hearts, Beth B's first solo feature Salvation and Bette Gordon’s Variety. The restorations explore the impact of this oppositional ethos on a new generation of American filmmakers.
