Date posted: 07.01.2020

Last weekend saw the announcement of the winners of this year's Golden Globes, and we were thrilled to see so many films filmed in and around our capital among the nominees and winners.

Among those winners were the likes of Judy, winner of Best Actress in a Film Drama, shot in and around Soho, Hackney Empire and West London Film Studios and Rocketman, which received awards for Best Actor In A Musical Or Comedy as well as Best Film Song - shot in actual London locations like The Royal Albert Hall, Abbey Road Studios, the Regency Café - even Pinner, the suburb where Elton John grew up. Also winning big was Fleabag, shot in various London locations ranging from Lincoln's Inn Fields and Finsbury square to York Rise and Highgate Road, which picked up awards for Best TV Series (Musical or Comedy) and Best Actress In a TV Series (Musical or Comedy).
