Film London Lodestars 2021 - Heads of Department

Three Heads of Department have been named as Film London Lodestars for 2021 and tipped as future stars of the industry. You can learn more about them below, including messages from the people who nominated them for the award.

Marnie Hollande (@MarnieHollandeEditor)

Marnie Hollande came to editing while studying Fine Art and Art History at Goldsmiths College. Her short-films have won the Vimeo Staff Pick Award at SXSW ('Vert' 2020) and been nominated for the BFI XX Award for Best Female Representation ('You Should KnowBetter' 2017). This year will see the release of her subsequent short films in association with BBC Film and the BFI in addition to a 30’ documentary surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement in the UK. She is currently working with directors Nick Bechman and Stella Scott on their upcoming films.

Molly Manning Walker (@maamw)

Molly Manning Walker is a Cinematographer and Writer/Director based in London. She graduated from the NFTS Cinematography in 2019.

Her graduation film, November 1st, took Bronze at the Student Academy awards and was long-listed for a BAFTA. Whilst her graduation documentary film - City Of Children, was Grierson nominated and played at many festivals including Vision Du Reel. Molly was nominated for both films at Camerimage last year.

As a DP, she works across formats from documentary, fiction and advertising. In spring 2021 Molly began shooting Superhoe with director Dawn Shadforth.

Anna is a Canadian/American cinematographer currently based in London. She is drawn to stories that blend documentary and fiction and works across narrative and commercial. Her NFTS graduation film Come Out Of The Woods won the Panalux Award for Cinematography and screened in the Student Etudes Competition at Camerimage 2017. She shot Good Thanks, You? which screened at Cannes 2020 and was nominated for a BIFA.
