Barbican Centre

News Story

The world-famous Barbican Centre offers a number of unique filming locations; both interior — from the lush Conservatory to the vast Barbican Hall — and exterior, with its iconic Brutalist architecture and London skyline views.

Its spaces provide a mix of striking backdrops and transformable blank canvases for a wide range of productions, utilised by the likes of Disney, Netflix, and Paramount Pictures. From Star Wars and James Bond to campaigns by Vivienne Westwood and Roksanda, and music videos for artists such as Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, and Harry Styles, the Barbican has played host to some truly iconic moments on screen, helping filmmakers and creatives bring their visions to life.

With event planning and the arts at its core, the Barbican’s team is experienced in supporting both large- and small-scale productions. Every booking is allocated a dedicated event manager, offering an efficient and flexible approach to ensure shoots run smoothly and successfully.

With the Barbican Renewal project continuing in earnest, the Centre is able to offer more flexibility than ever before, including access to spaces that previously came with a number of restrictions.

As a not-for-profit organisation, funds from film and photography activity is reinvested into community programmes and the arts, helping to inspire the filmmakers and photographers of tomorrow.
