Susan Kulkarni is an international award winning Costume Designer for stage, screen and immersive theatre. A graduate of Oxford University and RADA, she was selected for Film London’s Breaking the Glass Ceiling programme. As Head of Costume for Secret Cinema, Susan designs all their large-scale events, from Bond to Bridgerton. She also recently costume designed United Queendom at Kensington Palace (Les Enfants Terribles), Herding Cats (Soho Theatre) and Jeff Wayne’s immersive War of the Worlds.
Susan designed over 2000 bespoke costumes for the UAE’s National Day 48 Celebration, and the closing Ceremony of the Islamic Solidarity Games.
Her film credits include Assistant Costume Designer for Martin Scorsese’s Oscar nominated film Silence and Amazon Prime’s The Peripheral, as well as working in the costume team for Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall, Huntsman, The Crown and The Northman.
Forthcoming shows include designing the Warner Bros Batman Production Arkham Asylum and Secret Cinema’s Dirty Dancing.
