FILM LONDON LODESTARS: Jide Johnson
ANIMATOR - Aniboxx Studios
WHAT WE SAY
Jide is a creative force: tenacious, imaginative and highly collaborative. We met him through The New Black Film Collective’s Priscilla Igwe while considering projects for UPstream, and he pitched us a variety of work he was doing in collaboration with others and by himself. The dizzying number of plates he successfully spins is impressive, and the range of work he’s done through Aniboxx is inspiring—from a Mr Men short film to deeply thought out animated worldbuilding in his original projects. He’s the kind of person you know is a delight to work with, and for that reason we have no doubt he’ll go very far.
