FILM LONDON LODESTARS: Ines Adriana
"Credited on over 40 projects in 2021 and 2022, Ines has sound-designed numerous BFI NETWORK shorts, and her distinctive work contributes powerfully to the storytelling in the films - RUN is but one great example of this."
Jo Cadoret (BFI NETWORK Talent Executive)
Ines Adriana is an award-winning sound designer and mixer based in London. She studied for an MA in Sound Design at the National Film and Television School (NFTS), graduating with distinction and receiving the AVID Award for Excellence in Sound Design for Pregnant Ground, as well as a nomination for the Verna Fields Award (MPSE) for her work on Solar Plexus. Her work has screened at Sundance, SXSW, Cannes, BFI London Film Festival and Sheffield Doc/Fest, and she is an alumni of Berlinale Talents, the BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew, and a member of Women in Film and TV.
In developing her practice as a sound designer, Ines focuses on how sound can be both a narrative and artistic tool in film. She is particularly interested in unconventional narratives and has worked frequently on short films with new artists. She has sound-designed numerous Film London/BFI NETWORK-supported shorts including RUN (which relied heavily on sound to explore the protagonist’s psychology), Goodnight Henry, Mummys Present and Pram Snatchers.
