Ela Kazdal
Ela Kazdal (b. Istanbul) is a London-based artist whose practice spans film, video, sculpture, and installation. She explores the filmic medium across analogue and digital formats, often using found objects, archival footage and celluloid film. Her work addresses personal and collective experiences, drawing on memory, nostalgia, anxiety and desire. She has exhibited her work across the UK and internationally, including at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (NL), Firstsite (UK), Fabrica (UK), SALT Beyoğlu (TR), Festival Nouveau Cinéma de Montréal (CA), The Film-Makers’ Cooperative (US), Filmverkstaden (FI) and Seeyousound (IT).
