Caroline James is a 2D and 3D animator based in Luton. A trained radiographer, Caroline began learning 2D animation in her spare time before enrolling on a course in 3D computer animation at University of the Arts London. Combining influences from cartoons, advertising culture and sci-fi, her work has a satirical edge with a playful approach to narrative, and is characterised by bright colours and crisp textures.

Commissions have included working with the Universal Music Catalogue to create short films for the Black Story Project, which celebrates the work of Black artists on the label’s roster.
