June is here and that sounds the alarm for the start of summer blockbuster season! We're starting off hot with two huge cinema releases, and a return of an iconic TV franchise...

There's a blockbuster mix of London-shot films and TV programmes available to watch in June
On the TV side of things, Alice and Steve launches on Disney+ this month, having filmed locations and stage work in London. Starring Nicola Walker and Jermaine Clement, the comedy drama sees a two and-a-half decades long friendship between Alice and Steve become strained when Steve starts dating Alice's daughter.
The third series of blockbuster HBO series House of the Dragon returns this month, after completing stage work in the London area. Matt Smith, Emma D'arcy and Olivia Cooke return in what is sure to be a fiery series.
On the big screen, the newest adaptation of Masters of the Universe hits UK cinemas in June, this time starring Nicholas Galitzine as the iconic He-Man, alongside an ensemble cast of colourful characters. The production completed stage work in London.
Another blockbuster film that shot on London stages is Supergirl, the latest instalment in James Gunn's DC universe, which also lands in UK cinemas this month. After debuting in Superman, Milly Alcock takes on the title role in a swashbuckling intergalactic adventure.
