It's a big one this month, with SEVEN new productions filming in London! Some of the world's best actors have descended on the capital to kick-off new productions for iconic franchises such as Knives Out and Jurassic Park. Stars like Josh O'Connor, Olivia Colman, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Olivia Cooke, Ryan Gosling and many more are now filming in London on new projects ranging from new sci-fi blockbusters to political thrillers. Find out all about these below in our monthly feature focused on filming in London...
We're starting big this month, as we bring you news that a a fourth Jurassic Park sequel is now in production in London! The untitled fourth film is now filming at Sky Studios Elstree and will follow 2022's Jurassic World: Dominion. We can't wait for another blockbuster trip through Jurassic Park's pre-historic minefield of frights and thrills. Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, The Creator) is set to direct the next instalment of the franchise with cast announcements yet to be confirmed.
Another fan-favourite franchise is returning to our screens as a new Knives Out feature is currently filming in London! Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is the third film in Rian Johnson's endlessly entertaining series. Daniel Craig is set to return as the exuberant detective, Benoit Blanc. British acting royalty Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch star in our next feature filming in London this month. The Roses is a remake of Danny DeVito's 1989 dark comedy The War of the Roses, which featured Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner in the lead roles. Colman and Cumberbatch's re-imagining of this turbulent marriage will see the couple push their cosy, bourgeois co-existence, down a spiral of hatred, competition and divorce. It may sound intense, but at the heart of Jay Roach's (Bombshell) new film are deeply human sentiments, underpinned by a raucous script from Poor Things screenwriter Tony McNamara. This sounds like it could be one for the awards season already!
Ryan Gosling joins the A-list group of actors filming in London this July as production begins on the new sci-fi drama Project Hail Mary. Featuring Sandra Huller, the Amazon MGM Studios production is currently filming in the capital with a script from The Martian screenwriter Andy Weir. Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a lone survivor of a mission across the universe to save the Earth from near-certain destruction. Grace wakes up millions of miles away from home with his memory completely wiped, and two strange beings for company. We can't wait to see how this story unfolds...
