We’re back with your monthly discoveries to what’s filming in and around London this month. From fan-favourites series to blockbuster remakes, August is shaping up to a busy one. With productions like Harry Potter TV series and The Thomas Crown Affair underway, there’s plenty to look forward to – excitement is coming your way…

The wizarding world is brewing once more as HBO brings Harry Potter back to life in a brand-new series. Staying true to the spellbinding spirit of the original books, this magical revival will be directed by Mark Mylod, with Francesa Gardiner penning the scripts and J.K. Rowling executive producing. Filming is underway at the iconic Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden- the very home of the original eight films. It might be time to brush up on your charms – it’s Levi-O-sa, not Levio-SA!

Plans are set in motion as cinema’s sleekest romantic art heist returns for the third time. The Thomas Crown Affair, directed by and starring Michael B. Jordan has entered production at Elstree Studios. Jordan plays the charming billionaire, stealing for the thrill until a sharp investigator, Adria Arjona, starts closing in. A stylish game of cat and mouse set against the backdrop of the art world? This is definitely one to watch.

Other notable productions currently filming on location and/or in studio include:

Dear England – Written by James Graham and currently filming in Bethnal Green, this BBC drama explores Gareth Southgate’s radical leadership of the England men’s football, merging sport and national identity.
