Up first, a new film with a stellar cast, set and filmed in London is out this September! Head to the cinema this month to catch The Critic, a 1930s period drama starring Ian McKellan in the lead role of Jimmy Erskine, the most influential theatre critic in the capital. Also starring Gemma Arteton, Lesley Manville and Mark Strong, this thrilling new feature follows Erskine as he enjoys the fruits of his riches until he is suddenly threatened by a menacing political force. McKellen's Erskine illicits the help of a young struggling actress (Arteton) to fend off threats of blackmail, whilst hanging onto the dying vestiges of his once insouciant and hedonistic lifestyle. This is an intriguing story you won't want to miss on the big screen!

Featuring next is the much-anticipated sequel of a 1988 cult classic. So iconic, they had to make the sequel and name it twice, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is in cinemas this month! The production filmed interiors in studios in London and features the returning Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara from the original hit comedy/horror. Also joining the cast is Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, who is no stranger to the genre, as well as the legendary Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice launches into supernatural mayhem as Lydia Deetz's (Ryder) daughter Astrid (Ortega), opens a portal to the afterlife, bringing back the undead man himself, and a whole lot of ghostly problems. Check out Tim Burton's classic in cinemas this month!

Finally, we're spotlighting A Very Royal Scandal, a new Amazon Prime series that filmed in London. In this new limited series, Michael Sheen is Prince Andrew and Ruth Wilson is Emily Maitlis; you probably know what's coming next. The series tells the dramatic true story of the disgraced Prince's humiliating Newsnight interview, where he was interrogated by Maitlis over his relationship to Jeffrey Epstein. Unlike the recent Netflix series on the same topic, Maitlis herself is an executive producer on the Amazon show, so this could be worth a watch for a new approach to the infamous interview.
