Film London strongly condemns Russia's invasion of Ukraine. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, their families living here in the capital and the UK, and all those affected by these horrific events.

As an expression of that solidarity, and while this situation continues, Film London will not support nor partner with any Russian state-sponsored cultural activities or events.

Like the BFI and other industry partners, we remain staunch believers in the freedom of speech and the freedom to tell authentic stories, which highlight abuses of power, through film and moving image. We therefore believe it is important to continue to support and maintain relationships with those Ukrainian and independent Russian film and video games makers who reflect this ambition, which we will review on a case-by-case basis.
