News Story
SXSW London took over Shoreditch last week, and Film London was in attendance all week with the best of the best in the creative and tech industries to share ideas, be inspired, and show why London is as special as it is.

On Tuesday, we began our festival with an in conversation between the Russo Brothers and Donald Mustard, one of the co-creators of Fortnite, who discussed the intersection between films, TV and games - similar themes that we touched upon at London Games Festival's Screen Play conference, which you can read a write up of here.

We begun Wednesday with a fascinating panel discussion on live podcasting - hosted by Crossed Wires Festival. It was inspiring to see the creative industries collaborated across the festival, showing how London continues to be at the heart of culture. We followed this by bringing Upstream to SXSW for the first time - you can read more about that here.

We then headed over to the Dutch House to support our friends at the British Film Commission, as they co-hosted a panel on Dutch/UK co-productions with the Netherlands Film Commission.

We rounded off this year by attending an interesting in conversation with Daniel Pemberton, the composer behind smash hit Project Hail Mary. The SXSW programme really highlighted the best of London's creative industries, including some fantastic screenings at Film Hub London cinema Rich Mix.
