Film London alumni included in the 2025 BAFTA longlist

The longlist for the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards has recently been unveiled, and we're delighted to see a number of Film London alumni included.

Multiple alumni are long isted in the Outstanding Debut for a British Writer, Director or Producer category, for the films Bring Them Down, Grand Theft Hamlet, Hoard, Kneecap and Santosh..Grand Theft Hamlet directors Sam Crane and Pinny Grylls came to Film London's Production Finance Market New Talent Strand in 2023. We supported Bring Them Down's Chris Andrew’s short Fire via London Calling in 2015. We backed producer of Hoard Helen Simmons' Short Measure (as writer/director). We supported Kneecap producer Jack Darling's 2010 short The Assessment, which starred a young Joe Cole. We supported the Santosh team via London Calling + to make award winning The Field in 2017.

We are currently working with producer Bernardo Angelleti on a short, who is nominated in the British Short Animation for Adiós.

We supported Matty Crawford via Early Development Fund and Creative Partnerships Day, and his Stomach Bug is nominated for British Short Film.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards shortlist will be announced on Wednesday 15 January 2025 via BAFTA’s YouTube channel.
