Film London alumni included in 2022 BIFA nominations

The British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) announced their 2022 nominations last Friday, and we are delighted to see a number of Film London alumni recognised.

Aftersun, nominated for Best British Independent Film, is produced by Amy Jackson, who worked with Film London on Riz Ahmed’s Daytimer in 2014.


London Screenings Breakthrough film Winners has been nominated for The Raindance Discovery Award and Breakthough Producer.


2022 Film London Lodestar Ruth Greenberg is nominated in the Best Debut Screenwriter category for The Origin. Greenberg’s directorial debut RUN was funded by Film London.

Honesty, a recipient of this year’s BFI NETWORK Short Film Fund, is nominated for Best British Short Film. Also nominated in this category is Joseph Pierce’s Scale. Pierce’s Family Portrait and Baby Shower both received Film London funding. Finally, Too Rough receives a nomination – produced by Ross McKenzie, who received Film London funding for his BAFTA-nominated short Rite.

The winners of the 2022 BIFAs will be announced at a ceremony on Sunday 4 December.
