Join ICA for a special screening of Reyhaneh. In post-war Iran, Reyhaneh seeks independence after leaving her husband, but faces family pressure, tradition, and looming financial hardship. The film was made ten years after the Islamic revolution in Iran, and a year after the end of the Iran-Iraq war, when Iranians were emerging from the financial and personal sacrifices imposed by war. This screening is followed by a Q&A with Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, hosted by Rose Issa.
