Open City Documentary Festival returns for its 14th edition this April, aiming to create an open space in London to nurture and champion the art of non-fiction cinema.
Join Open City for Undocumented, a special session where the New Black Film Collective and London’s Screen Archives delve into absence and representation in London’s moving image archive collections.
Archives across the capital tell the story of London and Londoners over the last 100 years through their film and video collections, but there are still many voices missing from these narratives, including London’s Black communities. The session will feature panel discussion and archival footage, and will explore how to address the lack of Black representation in London’s moving image archive collections.
