Between 1978 and 1979, US photographer Susan Meiselas captured the two revolutionary insurrections that led to the overthrow of the Somoza family in Nicaragua, who, for 50 years, had led the dictatorship of the country. Her photographs were the only means by which many people across the world glimpsed what the Nicaraguan people were experiencing.
