Join Rio Cinema as they present the second screening in their Film For Workers season in collaboration with International Workers of Great Britain (IWGB). Bread and Roses, directed by Ken Loach, explores the struggles of poorly paid janitorial workers in Los Angeles and their fight for improved working conditions and the right to unionise. It is based on the "Justice for Janitors" campaign of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). This film will be subtitled in Spanish and followed by an in-person discussion with IWGB.
