Anxious in Beirut is an award-winning documentary that holds a mirror to Lebanese society, and is screening as part of the inaugural Arts of Lebanon Festival (ALiF) taking place from 7 to 16 June with events across London. Anxious in Beirut is director Zakaria Jaber’s personal diary that documents the revolution, destruction and demonstrations in Beruit. Living with constant anxiety, Zakaria narrates his own life while a series of unfortunate events prevent him from leaving Lebanon. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director, Myriam El Hajj, moderated by director, Soudade Kaadan.
