Film London has secured approval of an Interreg Europe project pilot action. We have secured further funding for the roll out to two additional sites has been secured through the LEAP’s Good Growth. The project will run from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2023.

Film London is seeking to appoint an Evaluation & Monitoring Consultancy to support the Grid Project.

As part of the Green Screen project, supported by Interreg Europe, Film London has delivered in partnership with Arup and Good Energy a feasibility report for the installation of an electrical cabinet in Victoria Park to ensure that film and TV units as well as events can have access to renewable power rather than relying on diesel generators. The Grid Project Report has been published here.

Building on this proof of concept, Film London has raised funds from Interreg Europe (Pilot Action Funding) and the Good Growth Fund to implement a pilot in Victoria Park and to potentially then roll out the cabinets to two further sites: Battersea Park and North Horse Ride. Film London is currently working to raise additional funds to achieve the full match for the latter two sites.

Film London is now moving to the implementation of the pilot in its first site – Victoria Park. Subject to Film London raising the adequate match funding, the project would be rolled out to a minimum of at least two further sites (Battersea Park and North Horse Ride).

The project also includes the delivery of environmental sustainability training to new entrants as well as the roll out of a programme of briefings and seminars for SMEs, anticipated to be industry freelancers as well as its supply chain.

We are therefore looking to recruit a consultancy to work with us to establish an evaluation framework as well as supporting the ongoing project monitoring and deliver the evaluation report of the project.
