Olympic Park

Home to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park contains some of the most iconic sports venues in the UK.

Fully open to the public since 2014, the Park covers 560 acres and includes 6.5km of waterways, attracting more than 16 million visits to date.

The South Park is the most recognisable area of QEOP being home to London Stadium, the ArcelorMittal Orbit and Slide and the London Aquatics Centre. Along with this, the South Park includes flower filled meadows and gardens, climbing walls, canal tow paths and a variety of bridges.

The Tessa Jowell Boulevard, previously the main pedestrian plaza for the London 2012 Games, has since been reinvented as a series of pleasure gardens. This long peninsula features a tree-lined promenade hung with spherical lanterns and a series of exciting spaces designed to inspire creativity in people of all ages. There are sand pits, water play areas, swings and fountains.

The North Park was designed to be more naturalistic and rugged in its planting. This part of the Park is quieter, more rural and biodiverse with large fields, wildflowers, winding footpaths and reed planting along the river. The section of the River Lea which sits in the North Park falls under the ownership of QEOP. There are also views of the East Village modern housing development and the Energy Centre. The North Park contains the Lee Valley Velodrome, with cycling and BMX tracks, the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, the Timber Lodge café.

As part of the QEOP estate, there are also a number of development plots available which can be utilised as unit base spaces but are also offer city views with train and DLR lines and provide a more urban feel. There are also a network of roads which can be closed or traffic managed. This includes a closed private road.
