London Productions Stand Out at 2019 BAFTA TV Awards

Last Sunday saw the 2019 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards take place, celebrating the works and talent of those within the TV industry. This year saw awards for a number of shows filmed extensively in London - led by Killing Eve, starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, picking up multiple wins including Drama Series, Leading Actress for Comer, and Supporting Actress for Fiona Shaw.
Patrick Melrose picked up two wins, with an award for Mini-Series as well as Leading Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch's performance. After winning multiple awards at the British Academy Television Craft Awards, which took place two weeks earlier, the Hugh Grant vehicle A Very English Scandal received a Supporting Actor win for Ben Wishaw. The Short Form Programme category saw a win for Missed Call, one of the first original productions from Real Stories and produced by Little Dot Studios and shot almost entirely on an iPhone X.
