Last night saw the return of BBC Three favourite Fleabag, created, written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the eponymous anti-heroine. With series one finishing on a blow and series two set a year on, expect to see Fleabag still trying to navigate her way through life, shot in various London locations ranging from Lincoln’s Inn Fields and Finsbury square, to York Rise and Highgate Road.
BBC Two’s anticipated drama MotherFatherSon hits our TV screens tomorrow with a stellar cast comprising of Richard Gere, Helen McCrory and Billy Howle. Businessman Max (Gere) owns one of the biggest media empires in the world, which his son Caden (Howle) is set to inherit. However this pressure causes Caden to turn to excess which has disastrous consequences for all involved. Filmed both in studio and on site, locations include Elstree Studios as well as the iconic Leadenhall Building and Middle Temple Hall.
With a chaotic and abrupt ending to series one, Netflix’s The End of the F***ing World is back for a second series. The BAFTA-nominated dark comedy-drama starring Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden as zany teens James and Alyssa, will start filming this month. Also starting studio production near the capital is Hartswood Films adaptation of the classic gothic novel Dracula for Netflix and BBC One. With creators of Sherlock Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat on board, the series aims to take audiences back to 1897 Transylvania for an original portrayal of the fanged monster.
