Best of Boroughs - Have Your Say!

Date posted: 08.06.2010

For a third year running we have opened up voting for the Best of Borough Film Awards (aka the BoBs) - giving you the chance to watch the shortlisted films and select the winner of the Audience Award. You could also be a winner yourself, as one voter will be chosen at random to attend the exclusive award ceremony on 12 July and enjoy a bottle of champagne!

Film London
, with support from the Mayor of London and the UK Film Council, today launched the Best of Borough Film Awards 2010. The BoBs is an annual prize to find the best short films produced through the London Borough Film Fund Challenge (LBFFC) - a scheme which aims to discover grassroots talent, stimulate local film-making and develop new skills across the capital.

Two cash prizes, of £2,000 each, will be presented to talented new film-makers who have taken part in the LBFFC. The Audience Award will be presented to the film which receives the highest number of online votes and the Jury Award will be given to the film selected by a panel of representatives from the film industry. The overall winner of Film 'London' in 90 Seconds, a new element to the LBFFC this year, will also be announced at the event.

If you would like to have your say then get registered, get watching and get voting - the deadline for Audience Award nominations is midnight on 18 July.
