Film Street Competition
Date posted: 21.09.2007
Film Street has teamed up with Cineworld Cinemas to launch its Film Street Summer Shorts Competition.
It challenges young people aged 12 and under to make a five minute short film with their family or friends.
Judged by film industry experts, the winner will receive Cineworld passes for four people and have their film shown on the Film Street website.
Film Street is a free interactive site developed by First Light that is very kid-friendly. It is designed specifically for children aged 12 and under, using fun tasks to guide and support children through the film-making process in a safe environment.
Families and groups can check out the website to gain inspiration for their film, by watching movie trailers and work from other children. Films can be live action, animations or documentaries and can be shot using a family camcorder, digital camera or mobile phone.
The deadline for applications is 1 October.
