ITV Local London

Date posted: 15.03.2007

ITV Local London is entering into a partnership with Film London, in order to celebrate London’s emerging film-making talent.

ITV Local is ITV’s ground-breaking broadband-based local television channel. For the first time ITV brings you a host of regional services online, available 24 hours a day.

It has been established as an interactive, next-generation local service, bringing you information about:

  • Local News – watch the latest news bulletins for London and the Home Counties, breaking news, special reports and you can even ‘go local’ and just watch news for where you live.
  • What's On – find events and book tickets online. Everything you need to find out where to go and what to do, plus the latest showbiz news including extended star interviews.
  • Weather – watch the latest weather forecasts for the region, special features and breaking weather stories.
  • Short Films – watch great short movies made by London based film-makers.
  • Documentaries – watch a selection of the very best ITV regional documentaries.

You even have the chance to get involved as a local film-maker. If you’ve filmed something you think is newsworthy, or made a factual or fictional film based in your community then please send it to ITV Local. You can upload this online or email it to london@itvlocal.com.

ITV Local was launched in London earlier this month. It will become an official media partner of the London Borough Film Fund Challenge, a fund that is issued by Film London to stimulate local film-making across the capital. Through this partnership, local residents who are taking part in the challenge will have the opportunity to have their films aired on itvlocal.com.
