Trainees are now being invited to apply for Film London’s Company Placement Scheme (CPS).

Seven companies based in London will each provide one six month paid placement for a new entrant to the film and moving image sector.

Each trainee on the scheme will receive:

  • 10 days holiday per placement
  • A structured work plan personal to each placement, based on the Skillset national occupational standards
  • A named experienced supervisor/mentor within the company
  • Regular monitoring and evaluation of the placement
  • After-care careers guidance and advice.

The participating companies and relative placements available are as follows: Junior Researcher at Headline Pictures, Development Researcher at Diverse Productions, Production Assistant at Tigerlily Films, Development & Production Assistant at Film and Music Entertainment, Assistant to the Development Team & Office Manager at Number 9 Films, Production Assistant at Ipso Facto Films and Development Assistant at Warp X Films.

Deadline for all placement applications is 13 April 2007. All placements are expected to commence in June 2007 for six months. Please note: applications must be made directly to the companies involved in the scheme - do not apply to Film London.
