CobraVision Returns: Bigger, Better and Uncut
Date posted: 22.03.2007
CobraVision, the short film competition which gives aspiring film-makers the chance to get their film shown on national TV, is returning for a third year in a new and exciting format.
For two year’s CobraVision has screened hundreds of high-quality 10 x 5 second films before and after the advert breaks during the movies on ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4.
From 1 May 2007, the 5 second slots will be replaced with a 50 second film before the movies on ITV4, providing film-makers with a more substantial and uncut opportunity to get their films seen by a national audience.
Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London and member of the CobraVision judging panel, comments: "In its new form, CobraVision demonstrates its commitment to providing film-makers with a relevant opportunity to showcase their work. I am a delighted to be on the judging panel of CobraVision as it continues to be an initiative which supports and encourages creativity and film-making in the UK."
CobraVision is currently open to film entries, details of the CobraVision film competition can be found on their website: www.cobravision.co.uk.
Prizes include film-making software for monthly winners and every year at the CobraVision Awards a cash prize fund of over £10,000 is handed out to the best films. And to celebrate the new CobraVision format they are also giving away a Playstation 3 to the best film received before 15 April 2007.
