India Mission: Possible
Date posted: 22.08.2007
Are you a London-based feature film producer? Do you have a project in development that lends itself to a UK/Indian collaboration?
A Film Trade Mission, led by the Mayor of London, will take place in India this November (17 – 23) and you have the chance to be a participant in this exciting project. Opportunities include undertaking a specialist production workshop and getting involved in various other industry events in the vibrant city of Mumbai.
Benefits of the Mission include:
- The Production Tournament (18 – 20 November) - an advanced workshop designed to assist producers to accelerate the progress of their projects, particularly regarding financing and co-production issues
- The Tournament will be delivered by Olsberg|SPI and will also involve 8 Indian producers similarly interested in UK collaborations, with 8 senior UK and Indian professionals acting as advisers
- Producers will be provided with hotel accommodation, transportation and most meals during the Mission, together with a financial award from UKTI towards airfare and incidental hotel costs
Please note: companies must be based within the 33 London boroughs to be eligible to apply for the financial package from UK Trade & Investment London. Companies should have fewer than 250 employees, turnover less than £25m p.a., and be new to exporting to India.
Only 8 lucky London-based feature film producers will be selected for the Mission and applications must be received by Friday 21 September 2007.
