Film London and Skillset have launched a new joint bursary scheme to support individuals wishing to undertake short vocational training courses.

Screen Bursaries support the skills development of people working across the media industries, providing up to 80% of the cost of short courses for TV, film, animation and computer games professionals across the UK. Film London supports applicants applying from the London region.

Bursaries are available for people wanting to access training in business skills, technical and craft skills and health and safety. These areas have been identified as priorities for support by the industry in Skillset’s Sector Skills Agreement.

The scheme is open for applications and will run until the end of March 2007.
