Guide to Filming in London
London Filming Partnership

Filming in London provides many benefits. It projects London to the world and helps attract tourism and business. Filming is part of London's creative industries, which employ more than half a million people and are responsible for one in every five new jobs in London. But local authorities and communities know that filming on location needs to be undertaken with care and responsibility.
The London Filming Partnership (LFP), developed in association with the Mayor of London and the London Development Agency, represents an unparalleled commitment from everyone involved in film and media production in London to welcome and encourage film-making in the city.
Working with the Mayor of London, the London Filming Partnership is also spearheading an initiative to explore ways that productions can become more environmentally sustainable with Green Screen.
The Code of Practice is a voluntary agreement, which complements the LFP. In signing up to the London Filming Partnership and its shared values, all signatories have also agreed to abide by this Code. The objective of the Code, as with the LFP, is to make London a more film-friendly city for all, while offering clarity on the statutory obligations that govern the activity of filming.
The Film London Executive Task Force is comprised of key stakeholders from the industry and the public sector with an interest in ensuring that location filming in London is conducted as efficiently and successfully as possible. The Task Force reviews the Code annually and makes any necessary revisions - addressing the main issues affecting film-making in London such as traffic management, permissions and fees, data collection and communication.
Signatories to the London Filming Partnership include London's 33 boroughs, as well as key organisations and agencies across the capital.
